Hey there! So, I´m not exactly a polyglot, yet, because I only speak 2 languages fluently and several others at an A2 level however I can say that thus far, in my own experience, avoiding grammar at all cost has been paramount for my success. I simply use pictures from Google or magazines to spark a conversation with my language exchange partners and I focus on comprehension and vocabulary. If I´m not practicing with a partner then I watch movies/series to gain more input. Producing the language myself and responding verbally is the eventual result.  I do not focus on reading or writing until I have gained an solid vocabulary and an intermediate level. I think they are great. Many people think that they are just not ordinary people, and they are, but they are not ordinary because they focused on languages, and they really work hard to achieve their goals. Many people want to speak foreign languages, but not many are ready to spend a lot of their time by learning the target languages. 

I think polyglots are inspiring :) I would like to become just like them and I know it takes discipline and patience to learn many languages but I don't mind getting there slowly but surely
