icebreaker questions -にほんでは?
(えいごーEnglish)
A while ago, I was wondering do we have a common icebreaker questions like " which ice cream flavour do you like?"
The question was so popular when I stated going to English conversation classes and I was like....'Eeeehh?'
one day, I realised that would be 'onigiri's fillings' !!!!

so,I just wanted to share my thought here and I'm happy to hear yours :))

Question1
My favourite onigiri(riceball) is....Tarako(cod roe) and Wakame seaweed :)
sorry....I can't pick just one....also it changes over time.
what about yours ?
あなたの好きなおにぎりはなんですか?🍙

Question2
Do you have any typical/common icebreaker questions like this in your country or ciry?
このような質問があなたの国やまちでありますか?
Thank you for taking your time :)
Hope you are having a lovely day :))

I hope you do! Many Australians don’t get to see much of the country because it’s so big, but I think it should be a priority. Australia is beautiful and there’s so much to see. I’ve lived in 4 states so I’d know haha

Yuki, I love Brisbane! When I was growing up in QLD we used to go to Brisbane or the Gold Coast every year for a holiday. If you get the chance you should holiday up north and also west. It’s a very different landscape and lifestyle.

When I moved to Victoria from Queensland, I was constantly being asked which AFL (Australian football league) term I barrack for. As AFL is not very popular in Queensland, I was very confused.
In contrast, Victorians are in the same boat when they go to Queensland and are asked what rugby team they barrack for.
From what I’ve seen, many of the common icebreaker questions here are about sport. It’s not great for someone like me who doesn’t follow sport

Hi Yuki, this is not exactly an ice breaker question but just some kind of correlation: I help organize audience for Japanese-Austrian Peace concerts. The most recent ones had to be cancelled but will take place in autumn. Generally, I am culture/museum educator & it's important to me to provide access to culture & education.
So - having sthg in common can be an ice-breaker. 😉
Have a good weekend! Friendly regards from Vienna, Isabella

PS. I am new here and stumbled over your posting.
