Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. I know lots of Chinese men (both American-born and otherwise) around here who are very romantic and are involved in relationships or interested in pursuing relationships.
hope that answers a bit of your question, and good luck! I hope you find the man of your dreams.

I'm romantic :) though I'm pretty 'whitewashed' or 'Americanized', as they call American/Canadian-born Chinese people like me.
Here in the States, the popular opinion seems to be that Chinese men are academically intelligent, but not as socially intelligent, that is, not as romantic. It's not written in stone, but in my various discussions with my male American-born Chinese friends, it seems to be that Chinese men have it a little more difficult in the dating scene here. It's a bit of a chicken-and-egg problem though, in that many Chinese men (this is a generalization!) will indeed sacrifice social life and commitments for work; if you visit most top-tier colleges here, and you'll see that there are a disproportionate number of Chinese people. (cf. University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA))

yes ,I think so.in my opinion,Chiese man are very romantic,as the same as the French man,Because of the following point: first of all,Chinese have a long historical culture background,so the man who live here are being affected; second, most of chinese man are very humor because they are influenced by its far-reaching chinese culture, for instance,ZHOU XING CHI.and many of them.
