Learning languages has taught me what I had taken for granted was just one way of looking at things around me.
I think I learned to respect and appreciate differences in all forms, The experience was eye-opening and humbling, bringing me such inspirations. And I need those inspirations to live my life fully and lively. In a way, it's like getting a new style of humor, you can get a new perspective in everything you do.
Also, with the new key to access the world you could not have entered otherwise, you meet new people. I have met good friends of mine through my language learning process---both people from my country and other countries, which a big treasure for me.
I've always been interested in learning about different cultures and their languages even since I found that there was more than just African American, Mexican, White and Asian- yes I was a very pecuilar child growing up haha I firmly believed there were only four ethinicties. Anyways, since then I've been very intrigued with how countries/cultures functions and the language they speak and its history. It's a beautiful thing and I wish some of the younger generation who no longer speak the native tongue of their parents or don't wish to would change their minds. Not only is it something great to have and to be able to pass down to your own children, it can also be used as an asset/skill career wise.
Language is the primary mean of communication and what makes me interested in a language is that how many people I can communicate with after learning that language. I think that the world needs communication to become united and have peace and prosperity for all.

in a foreign language i love the idea of its strange for me and not being able to understand it, so its what i call the 'love of foreign languages' i feel like i want to talk it when i hear someone talk a foreign language.
