I think it all depends on how much time you are willing to spend on learning the language. In sense of difficulty, I think it would be wrong to say it's more difficult than others...

I don't know much about finnish, but I learned eatonian which is quite similar to finnish for some time and I do not think it is more difficult than those Latin languages,
