I have a cat. His name is Hopper. I've had him for almost 15 years. He is old but he still likes to fight me if I don't get his food on time. :-) 

I have three cats name whitey, blacky and snow white. I also have a dog name Anghel in english "angel" and a turtle name Domz. I don't see my turtle always only twice a week.. I just let my turtle walk around the house and I don't really know where he is hiding but when he is hungry he usually go out and go to our living room or kitchen. 

It might be good to talk in general about common names for pets in different countries. People should be careful about telling everyone about the name of your first pet or your current pet because that is sometimes a security question!

In the US, a lot of names for pets are the same as names for people, but there are also special names that mostly go along with one kind of pet. Like "Rover" or "Spot" is common for a dog, and "Fluffy" is common for a cat. I always think people should have a pet or two, and name it, so they can have a chance to use their favorite strange name, and don't give it to their son or daughter.

I had a cat called Tom who was 19 when he died a couple years ago. I also had a dog called Oscar (Jack Russell) who was 15 when he died two months ago, whom we had since he was two from a shelter.

Now I have a puppy (Lhasa Apso & Jack Russell cross) called Toby who is three months old.

I have a lovely classic persian cat and her name is Sia. though I announce It Shia when I call her really. Pretty pretty isn't it?
