I like the fact that in Spain you can wander around late in the evening and see extended family groups enjoying each others' company, strolling around, having coffee or ice creams rather than alcohol - youngsters, old grandparents, even little children all together. It's not like that in Britain. Here the streets can feel threatening after dark, and the only people you meet are 16 - 30 year-olds, most of them drunk and rowdy. Spain feels much more relaxed and welcoming in the evenings than Britain does.
