My mother tongue is Russian, and I first watched the Some like it hot movie, starred by Marilyn Monroe, in the Russian translation, under the title "В джазе только девушки" (literally, 'Only girls in the jazz band'). It was much later that I watched the movie in English, and since then I've been always curios about its title, which seemed a bit odd to me (as I am not a native English speaker :)). Recently I've found some hand clapping game videos on Youtube, including the Pease-porridge-hot one, which seems to be quite popular among kindergartners. I am wondering, if the movie title (and the excerpt from it) from it reminds to you (especially if you're a native English speaker, and probably learned the game song as a child) of the line of this song? Or does it have any other meaning to you? What can you associate it with?
