DOUBLE NEGATIVES

Double negatives are two negative words used in the same sentence. Using two negatives turns the thought or sentence into a positive one. Double negatives are not encouraged in English because they are poor grammar and they can be confusing; but, they are sometimes used in song lyrics and informal speech. (YourDictionary)

Yes, I don't understand.

It's even more problematic if you remove both the negatives. 'I am going to do with you tonight' doesn't mean much!

i didn't get it. can you give an example shows how the double negatives are? this is my first time hearing about double negatives.

Well that is poor sentence construction.

The correct thing to say is:

I am not going to do anything with you tonight.

For example saying:

I am not going to do nothing with you tonight.

There are two negative words in the sentence, hence it's a bit problematic.
