Okay so I am very much a beginner in Italian, and I was wondering what questions would you ask people to get to know them, for example, "what is your favourite animal" but I wouldn't know how to write these sorts of questions in Italian.
Please could you write some questions in the comments but in Italian please and the English translation next to it! Grazie!! :D
To get started:
- Ciao, come ti chiami?
Hi, what's your name?
- Di dove sei? / Da dove vieni?
Where do you come from?
- Quanti anni hai?
How old are you?
- Dove vivi?
Where do you live?
- Che lavoro fai?
What's your job?
- Che cosa studi?
What do you study?
- Quali sono i tuoi passatempi?
What are your hobbies?
- Cosa fai nel tempo libero?
What do you do in your free time?
- Qual è il tuo sport preferito?*
What's your favourite sport?
Qual è il tuo animale (maschile singolare) preferito?
Qual è la tua canzone (femminile singolare) preferita?
Pay attention to the gender and the number of the nouns!
* Ciao, come va? (if you already know the person)
* Che fai sta sera?
* Ti andrebbe di andare al cinema questo weekend?
* Dammi il tuo numero cosi ci possiamo trovare qualche volta.
* Ciao, stammi bene. è stato bello parlare con te. Ci si vede! (or) ci si sente!
