Hi, I have a question about below sentence.
"Earlier, defender Destiny Udogie had given Spurs the lead when he powered home another left-wing delivery from Son, who later added their fourth from the penalty spot having been brought down by Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka."
It feels like a preposition such as with should be in between "powered home" and "another left-win delivery" and actually I found few sentences with preposition.
But it seems like it's normal to use without one. Is that correct?

Hi June. He powered home the delivery (the cross/pass). Subject verb object. So no preposition is needed here. Where we would use one is if we then added something like ‘with a header’, giving extra information about how he scored. He powered home the delivery with a header (or a volley or a shot etc)
I watched this match btw and it was a good goal. Udogie is having a good season

There is no need for any more answers Simon has given a perfect good clear answer. "straight from the horses's mouth" he was at the match, no less.
