I caught a cold since yesterday. I took my temperature this morning and it was 38.7 degrees. I have a sore throat and feel dull. In addition, I have a cough. Therefore, I didn't go to university today.

So I didn't go to university today.
Therefore is very, very formal. We seldom use it in everyday speech. Well done!
