Do Right Thing or Do Things Right
The famous science fiction writer Liu Cixin (Chinese) once said :”People are used to separating everything into black or white, but the reality is all gray.”
I could not be more agreeable. There aren’t absolutely right or wrong things.
The only standard to distinguish the right from the wrong is lying in our heart.
When compulsory tasks are against my inner moral line, when I have to make a choice between doing the right things which are against what other people think I should do and doing the things right ,which is on the contrary to my real ideas.I choose to give myself a minute before I respond what life throws at me.
I’ve thought it long before.I am just me, not anyone else.I’ll do the thing I persist for long .Even though it would be doomed to failure, even though it would make me like a jerk and would be the lousiest ever.
This topic reminds me of a paradox called trolley problem: A madman tied five persons on the tram rail, and a runaway trolley was bearing down on them.they’ll be crushed immediately, fortunately, you could pull a lever, turning the trolley onto another tram rail. But there’s a problem, the madman had also tied a person on another tram rail.In that case, will you pull the lever? If you choose to pull, you’ll be considered to be the of the madman. It is conflict. But what I want to say is that it’s our deepest kindness which lends us to save more people’s lives.there’s no need to scold anything.
Maybe sometimes to do things right is too hard to achieve, but we can choose what we do as the right things. No one knows what it will bring if we do as we think is right, yet there’s an enormous shared incentive spread throughout the world,to live as you want, not to want as you live.
