The Story of the Three Kingdoms (story 1)

Thousands of years ago, there were three kingdoms in China called the Wei, Shu, and Wu kingdoms. These kingdoms were always at odds with each other, because each king asserted that he alone should be the king of China. Because Shu and Wu were weaker than Wei, after a while Shu and Wu formed an alliance to avoid being conquered by Wei.
Zhou, a general of Wu, and Zhuge, an officer of Shu, led a battle to resist Wu's attack together, which happened in a district called Chibi. Both Zhou and Zhuge were talented.
But Zhou envied Zhuge's talent. So, he always deliberately assigned difficult tasks to Zhuge.
The army needed many arrows for the battle, and the task of producing the arrows was assigned to Zhuge. Zhuge was instructed to produce 10,000 arrows in three days. Zhuge signed a contract which said that if he couldn't accomplish the task on time, he would be seriously punished. Zhou delayed the production of the material needed to make the arrows, but Zhuge was not at all flustered. He predicted the weather: two days later there would be heavy fog. He commanded his soliders to make hundreds of grass soliders. Two days later, there was a heavy fog, just as Zhuge had predicted. That night, Zhuge asked some soldiers to take the grass soldier and yell near Wei‘s army, but not actually attack. Because of the heavy fog, Wei's army couldn't leave their barracks. All they could do was resist Zhuge's solider with arrows. The third day, Zhuge counted the arrows that were shot into the grass people. There were more than 10,000. So, Zhuge had accomplished his task perfectly, at very little cost.
