Is it correct? Hi, I was doubting about something... So I've read a story today, I'm learning the tenses, specifically present simple. And I started to think in what way I would have told the story, so I wonder if in this way is also correct: The story which I've read it is: ''I was walking down the street the other day when suddenly this man comes up to me and tells me he has lost his wallet and asks me to lend him some money. Well, he looks a bit dangerous so I'm not sure what to do …'' And this is the way I would have told: ''I was walking down the street the other day when suddenly this man come to me and told me that he lost his wallet and asks me to lend him some money. Well, he looked a bit dangerous so I was'nt sure what to do ...'' I think I just change the present forms to past jaja but I'm still wonder if is it correct. I also have a confusion between the verbs ''lend'' and ''borrow''. I'm not sure what is the difference between both.
