قصص من مدريد 20 (20) بدأ السباق، ومسحت آتالانتا إحبومينيس تقدم عليها فعرفت إنها قادرة اللحاق فيما بعد. عرف ذلك حبومينيس أيضا، وعندما رأى ظل آتالانتا اقترب منه، رمى تفاح واحدة من بين التفاح الثالث. لفت التفاح أمام آتالانتا و مُلِأت لها بالفضول، وقفت، قبعت و أخذت التفاح العجيبة بينما أخذ حيبومينيس الفرصة لابتعد منها... دركت آتالانتا كيف زاد الفرق بينها و بينه، وجرت بسرعة رهيبة لتقبض عنه. The race started, and Atalanta allowed Hypomenes to advance for she knew she was able to catch up with him later on. Hypomenes knew this too, so when he saw Atalanta's shadow approach, he threw one of the three apples, the apple rolled in front of Atalanta and she was filled with curiosity. She stopped she crouched and she took the wonderful apple while Hypomenes took the chance to get away from her. Atalanta realized how the difference between them was increasing so she run with formidable speed to catch up with him. و لما اقتربت له آتالانتا، رمى حيبومينيس التفاح الثاني، وقفت آتالانتا مرّة أخرة و أخذت التفاح، ولكن جددت ركضها بسرعة. And when Atalanta was getting closer, Hypomenes threw the second apple, ِAtalanta stopped once again and took the apple, but was quick to renew her pursuit. كانت آتالانتا على وشك أن تتجاوز حيبومينيس قريبا من خط النهاية، لكن رمى هو التفاح الثالث و أثار بذالك وقوف آتالانتا مجددا، ونهائيا فاز السباق. Atalanta was about to surpass Hypomenes near the end line, but he threw the third apple and provoked Atalanta to stop once again so he finally won the race. باحقيقة، كانت آتالانتا مبسوطة بالخدعة بما كانت أشقرة بحيبومينيس بالجد. تجوّزا حبوميبيس و آتالانتا، و كانا سعيدين بفترة... لكن... نسى حيبومينيس أن يشكر أفرودت عن فوزه... و نست آتالانتا وعدها لأرتيميس... In reality Atalanta was happy about the trick since she had come to get really fond of Hypomenes. So Hypomenes and Atalanta got married and lived happyly for a while... but... Hypomenes forgot to thank Aphrodite... and Atalanta forgot her promise to Artemis... غضبتا الآليهتان، وخططتا انتقامهما. Both goddesses got angry and planned their revenge
