Describing my country
I live in Brasil. We have twenty six states and Distrito Federal (is a city building for being the capital of the country, so then is considered a state).
The country is divided in five regions, being North, Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and South. I live in Southeast, region that has four states very important for history and economy of Brasil. States of that region are Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo.
Minas Gerais stands out for their history: city was called this way because formerly had several mines of gold and diamonds (including, has a famous city calls "Diamantina" because of diamonds found there).
Rio de Janeiro is a touristic place, known in all world. I've been there a lot of times, but I never get tired. I love beaches and friends that I have in this city. However, a really, really hate the "traditional" songs of this city (like "Funks", a popular music, very played in the periphery of Rio, which I have a very strong and negative opinion). Of couse, it's my personal opinion, a lot of brasilians love this kind of music, so much so that it's played all over the country.
The biggest state of southeast (count population), are São Paulo. The city stands for their economy and cultural mix.
I love live here, and I don't think of living anywhere else. Have a lot of things that you may do in this city, but my favorite is going in a cinema. One time for year, we have a book fair, and I always be there to.
Still have a lot of things to describe about my country (like Notheast region, my favorite after Southeast), but i'm going let for other opportunity.
