How to Be a Good Couchsurfing Guest(1) I have hosted a lot of guests from all over the world last two years, but I haven’t surfed any couch until now. Next week I will go to Wenzhou, because we will have a university roommate get together there. On the way home, I will stay in Shanghai for few days to see my son who is a student of Shanghai Jiaotong University. I hope I can find a couch to stay one or two days in Shanghai just for having an experience of couchsurfing guest. Now I’m trying to figure out how to be a good couchsurfing guest. Couchsurfing is an amazing idea which is based on the humans’ goodness. So, good manners are most important for a person to be a Couchsurfing guest. The different cultures have different standards for good manners. In my opinion, travelers have to know a little about the local cultures before they get on the road. If you really don’t know the local standard of good manners, smile and be polite are the fundamental matter every where. “Please” and “thank you” is a gift and a grace in any culture which is to make your Couchsurfing life easier. Although you are nice enough, you have to know other unwritten rules of Couchsurfing.

How to Be a Good Couchsurfing Guest(1)

I have hosted a lot of guests from all over the world in the last two years, but I haven’t surfed any couch until now. Next week I will go to Wenzhou, because we will have a university roommate get-together there (<em>you might also say "reunion" instead of get-together ["get-together" used in your context as a compound noun], if this is a regular meeting of people with whom you used to be roommates</em>). On the way home, I will stay in Shanghai for few days to see my son, who is a student at of Shanghai Jiaotong University. I hope I can find a couch to stay on for one or two days in Shanghai, just for having an experience as a of couchsurfing guest. Now I’m trying to figure out how to be a good couchsurfing guest.

Couchsurfing is an amazing idea which is based on the humans’ goodness (<em>goodness is fine; "generosity" would also be fine</em>). So, good manners are most important for a person to be a good couchsurfing guest. The different cultures have different standards for good manners. In my opinion, travelers have to know a little about the local cultures before they get on the road. If you really don’t know the local standard of good manners, smiling and being polite are the fundamental matter every where. “Please” and “thank you” is a gift and a grace in any culture which is to make your couchsurfing life easier. Although you are nice enough, you have to know other unwritten rules of couchsurfing.
