If you are serious, you've lost.
I realized one thing. Something if you are serious to face, you've lost. For example, somebody said something to you, it's just a joke, but we often kept it in mind and cared about it more. So does it in friendship. How many friends who treat you sincerely? Finally we were hurt.

If you are serious, you've lost.
I realized one thing. Sometimes if you are serious to face, then you've lost. For example, somebody said something to you, it's just a joke, but we often take it to heart (an expression meaning to take something seriously because we think it is about oneself). It happens with friendship. How many friends treat you sincerely? Finally we were hurt.
I think I understand the last two sentences but I am not sure what words to use.
Do you mean "Finally, our friendship was in trouble"?

I agree with Aina that positive thinking is important. Sometimes it's difficult to not take things to heart but you have to try your best.

Woman too many thinks and worries about unimportant things. Me too :). But, when I think how it will influence me in future, I understand, that there were not to be worry about. Positive thinking is key :).
