An interesting history story

In ancient China, about two thousands years ago, during the Spring and Autumn period, CHUNQIU DYNASTY there were two countries falling who were into a war. The Chu army had been besieginged the Song for a long time, and they both became very were all tired very much. The king of Chu told his minister, who was called A, ”Our food just can last only seven days. We should to go back if we canot defeat them by thenin seven days.” Then the minister was commanded to check on the enemy on a little hill.
Meanwhile, the minister of Song, called B, came to that the hill as well. So they talked about the war face to face as follows below:
A:How is about your country?
B:It’s very too bad. People are eating interchanged their own sons, including their to eat, and put the bones to cook.

(This is a little confusing. Are you saying 他们吃自己孩子, 还有骨头也吃? How do you eat bones?)

A:Terrible. People always fool pretend the enemy into believing that they can support themselves well enough, but why do you tell me the truth?
B:I heard that 君子 a gentleman should take pity on people who are were in suffering. A petty person 小人should would gloat at those people instead. I know you are a gentleman 君子, so I'm telling you the truth.

A:Well. Our food just can last only seven days also.

(君子 is often translated to gentleman. 小人 is often translated to petty person.)

So when they were come went back, and A reported the situation to the King. He The king of Chu was angry. and He said, ”Why did do you tell the enemy the truth?” A answered, ”Our country is stronger than the Song. They have a honest minister, and so do we us. and I want to go come back to home now.” The king said,” You are my important minister. If you won’t to stay, I shall go back with you.” Then the large army of Chu went came back to their country. Fortunately, people avoided a horrible war on both sides. 

PS: 君子 is someone who is respected by their honest and nice moral character for thousands of years. 小人 is someone who is the opposite.
