The life-winning group!?

Yesterday was my birthday. Since I have lived away from my country for about 9 years, I went out for dinner with several close female friends from junior high school, most of whom I have not seen for more than ten to fifteen years!! Two of them got married about two years ago, another two are going to get married, and one of them is three months pregnant! I was really happy for them, since they are leading a good life, about which not only society sees as one of the ultimate goals that most women want to achieve, but which also is a dream of almost all women since we are little girls.

Not only that, but two of them, along with their husbands whose income is decent enough, are as well buying apartments and cars as well. They seem to have made it to the top tier or the the so-called "life-winning" group, looking successful, well off, and even polished in appearance and demeanor.

So in terms of the progress in life, I have not achieved as much as those in my age group, but fall far behind. Sometimes you are thinking how worthy it is to chase your other dreams in life and put others on hold. And sometimes you know it is mostly because you are not as "quick and smart" as them. And one day you suddenly awake and realize that all the time you had been taking to 'figure out life' has gone and start to wonder and panic whether you'd ever make it?
