Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in regard to my lost baggage. On [insert date] I traveled from Dubai to Sydney on flight AK3201. Upon arrival, I went to the baggage-claim section to pick up my suitcase. I watched the conveyor belt for twenty minutes but my suitcase never appeared.
I reported my problem to the employee in the baggage-claim section. He directed me to the Lost-and-Found service. There I was assured that my problem would be addressed as quickly as possible and the airline would call me as soon as my suitcase was located. It has been two days and I have not yet heard back.
My suitcase is black and approximately 30x50 cm. It has a handle on the top and two gray wheels on the bottom.
I would be very grateful for your help in locating my luggage. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to expedite the process.
Sincerely,
Sergei
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing with regard to my lost baggage. The baggage was lost when I traveled from Dubai to Sydney with flight AK3201. [or, to be even more formal, "My baggage was lost in transit between Dubai ..."]
When the aircraft arrived in Sydney I went to the baggage [often "Baggage Reclaim"] section to take [or, "retrieve / collect"] my suitcase. I stayed there 20 minutes, waiting for it to appear on the conveyor belt, but no luck. [or, I waited for 20 minutes for it to appear on the conveyor belt,]
I reported my problem to a member of staff who was responsible for the baggage section, and he sent me to the Lost and Found service. There I was assured that my problem would be resolved / addressed as quickly as possible, and that they would call me. Two days have gone by / have passed, but I haven't received any messages about my suitcase.
My suitcase is black in colour, and is about 30 to 50 cm in size. It has a handle on the top and two grey wheels in the bottom.
I would be very grateful to receive any information about my incident soon in a short time, otherwise I will be forced to seek help from the airline administration.
Your sincerely,
Sergei.
Thank you.
