Summer

This summer is almost over end. I went to beach many times last year but I didn't go to beach this year. I have the work part time with my dad. We are very busy this year. He has two big projects so that I have no time for breakfast. By the way, I will go to south (southern?) Taiwan at the end of August. I am very much looking forward to it.

You could also say "This summer is almost at an end" which sounds more formal.

Sometimes a region is referred to by it's direction, for example, people might say "East LA" but "southern France" or "the south of France". English speakers familiar with Taiwan can assist.
