Hello, I'm Jihye! TEFL certified Korean teacher!
I have 30 dollars and want to buy books for my daughter.
(있고 is = "있다 + 그리고", but I am not sure if it is correct here.)
If I was about to say something like that, I would say
(I have 30 dollars, I want to buy books for my daughter)
Lots of times native Korean just don't say prepositions, like '을' '에' '이/가/은/는'
and for 있고, you are right!
Good for you! :)
