给我 打 电话
original: gei3 wo3 da3 dian4 hua4
change to : gei2 wo3 da3 dian4 hua4
the words in Chinese sentenses are divided into groups.
see, only gei3 change to gei2. 打 keeps the 3rd tone.
maybe you think 电 has a 4th tone ?
tonation
给 我 打 电话 The question is regarding tonation as I know if 2 3rd tones are followed then the first changes to the second tone OK, but in this case what is the spoken tonation as to me sounds strange that the ' 打' jumps back to the 3rd tone?
Thank You in advance for the help
"Indeed, I didn't realize what your question is, but I can give you some advice for reference:
You probably can say 打電話給我, with a practical sentence like 記得打電話給我 if you're not familiar with the sounds of having three 3rd tones put together.
And, you are good in learning Chinese and knowing to change the first word to the second tone if there are two 3rd tone. Well-done^^"
