Should English Majors Study Maths? Most of students in university are dying for maths, especially English major students. There is an opinion spreading among those who think math is unnecessary that they forget everything after the test. So is math really useless for Language Majored students? The answer is absolutely no. To be honest, I feel the importance of maths although i have been majored in English for three years. Math is a tool that can help us think. The final numbers you get make no sense at all since what matters most is the process of learning and thinking. Actually math helps us construct our mind by means of numbers and formula. What's more, we can always find a way from maths to solve problems even in English. The language of maths is numbers which helps people to communicate with everything in the world. It helps us to manage our money, buy insurance and make computer programs. Math is so crucial that everyone can not live without it. In conclusion, math should not be given up by English majors and any other majors! English and Maths can help the society better if they can be combined. If we know English and Maths at the same time, we can do things more efficiently and more effectively. Therefore, to study Maths hard to create a more civilized society is the responsibility of everyone.
