Earthquakes

Thermal anomalies arise in seismically active areas of the Earth's surface along the boundaries of plates before earthquakes .The release of gases from the area of the activated plate boundary in the formation of earthquakes is the physical mechanism of such anomalies. The task of identifying thermal anomalies is not trivial, as there are no clear relationships between the anomalies and earthquakes. Furthermore it is necessary to isolate such anomalies from anomalies associated with seasonal variations or human influences.
