Simple Past vs. Present Perfect (is it correct?)

1. I lived in the Kursk region for 25 years.
2. I worked as a system administrator for 6 years.
3. I studied electronics, programming, and anatomy for five years.

1. I have lived in the Moscow region since 1999. (till now)
2. I have worked at my current job since 2013.
3. I have never been abroad.

The tenses are all correct if we assume that in the first three sentences, the actions began and ended in the past; and that in the second three sentences, the action (or inaction:  "I have never been abroad") began in the past and continues until the present.  In the sentences about the Moscow region and your current job, the present perfect progressive tense would also sound very good:  "I have been living in the Moscow region since 1999.  I have been working at my current job since 2013."   The progressive tense sounds dynamic and energetic.
