Help me write letter correctly

I have a task:
"Next week you start a new job as Project Manager for a publishing company. Your job is to start new book project and organise teams to work on the project. Write to your new colleagues. Introduce yourself."

My letter:

Dear colleagues,
As you probably know, next week I will start work as the new Project Manager of your company. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
For over five years, I have worked at the WCC in the role of business development manager. I have organised people to work on the development project.
I hope that our new book project will be successful!
I look forward to working with you all.

As you probably know, next week I will start work as the new Project Mandger of your company. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
I have worked at the WCC in the role of business development manager for over five years. I have organised people to work on the development progect.I have been in charge of people on the development project.

I do hope that our new book project will be successful!
I look forward to working with you all.

This is brilliant! The sentence that I have highlighted isn't necessarily incorrect but it is a bit clumsy.
