はじめまして。わたしはピニャタロアレッサンドラです。わたしはイタリアからきました。よろしくおねがいします。
Is it correct? Is it a polite way to introduce myself? Do you have to use also よろしくおねがいします when you introduce yourself to someone?
When I use Microsoft Word program, it suggests me also some Kanji texts but I don't know yet which among them are suitable or not... so I simply used only hiragana.

la espressione ".....からきました。" è molto comune. In giapponese la questa significa veramente il movimento.
Quando vai per esempio a Tokio, e qualcuno ti domande "Sei turista? Di dove?" -> "わたしはイタリアからきました。" è perfetto, perchio sei veramente andata di Italia in Giappone a Tokio.
Qui a italki puoi scribere "わたしはイタリアじんです。" anziché, oppure "わたしはイタリアにすんでいます。"
In giapponese c'é una altra expressione come "わたしはウーディネしゅっしん（出身）です。". "しゅっしん" significa letteralmente "il corpo viene di..." e come "Sono nata a Udine".

If you look how newspapers write foreign names then you should use a "dot" in the middle to make it easier for the reader to be able to separate the first and last name:
ピニャタロ・アレッサンドラ
Also, if you wanted to say "I'm Italian" then:
わたしはイタリアじんです。
私はイタリア人です。
And putting it all together:
始めまして。私はピニャタロ・アレッサンドラです。（私は）イタリア人です。どうぞよろしくお願いします。

よろしくお願いします can indeed be included in a polite introduction. It translates roughly to "please treat me kindly". It is polite but not necessary.
Learning the Suggested kanji by word processors is a great way to learn various kanji (漢字)。頑張って （がんばって)
