名字 - " 錢梓軒" So, my English name is Chris and I was told that I could use "克里斯" as a Chinese , but I dont really like this because it is merely a transliteration of my name. I thought that if a lot of Chinese could choose an English name, then I should be able to choose a Chinese name as well. I chose the name " 錢梓軒" because I really like the sound and the character combination. I would like Chinese people's honest opinions on it, before I actually start using it. I would be very grateful !

Call me superstitious...  I hate using simplifed characters for a name - implying short longevity.  One cannot lower one's standard because there are so many who can't grasp the complicated looking characters; like lowering the standards of entering a college. In computer science we have garbage in, garbage out, in this case, idiots in idiots out.

Let's analyze the characters....

 錢 = money, cash

梓 is considered to be the "king of all woods" and was used for imperial structures before 楠木 was discovered.  E.g. 梓童, an appelation used by the emperor for the empress.  梓宫, imperial coffin etc.

軒, a pavilion used for scholarly pursuits.

Hence the name implies that you are a scholar and lover of the arts; a very literary name.  Also, without finances to help you in your endeavors, nothing will succeed :)  So you chose well and the sound is also mellifluous.

名字 - " 錢梓軒" This is a traditional Chinese, use in HK,Taiwan.

In Chinese mainland we use Simplified Chinese,you can use“钱梓轩”.

梓: it means a large tree,for building house.

轩:it means tall, "气宇轩昂”

very good name for male~If you very like it ,take it~

I used have an English name,"Sophie",it has the same mean with my Chinese name,but I didn't very like it.my friend in Australia said, you can use your own Chinese name, that's OK. I very like my Chinese name, haha ~ Somehow in the more than 20 years, I have deep feelings in it. So~That's my story about the name:)

This name sounds good in Chinese and it also has Chinese characteristic.

In China, it's also a name for a man. I think it's suitable for you.

Hi. First, we usually use Simplified Chinese except people in Hong Kong and Taiwan. So you'd better use "钱梓轩". And every Chinese word has different meaning."梓轩"really gets a good meaning. Many local Chinese will use it as the second name. I thought these two words were used seldom by foreign learners,so I am amazed at your name. By the way,I wonder if it's hard for foreigners to pronounce your Chinese name.
