Speaking English in Japan If the place is a big city such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and cities like that, you have some occasions to have a conversation in English in person. However, you might well have few occasions to speak English when it comes to a little rural town like my hometown. Although it is true that more and more Japanese people speak English than before, the number of the people is still not large, so if you visit or live in Japan's countryside, it isn't expected to be able to talk with citizens in English. Anyway, I want to be able to speak English in order to be some help to visitors from the world in future. Naturally, being able to speak English more fluently will also help me travel abroad. I want to try going on a trip to many kinds of countries. I'm not sure if I can do it yet, though.

Speaking English in Japan

If the place is a bigger city such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka or other cities like those, you will probably have many opportunities to have a conversation in English with someone.
However, when it comes to a little rural town such as mine, the chances of doing so are rare, if non-existent.
Although it is true that more and more of the Japanese people speak English than ever before, the number of the people who do, relatively speaking, is still not large. So, if you happen to visit to, or stay in, Japan's countryside, you should not expect to be able to talk with people in English.

Anyway, I want to be able to speak English in order to be of some help to visitors from around the world in the future.
Naturally, being able to speak English more fluently will also help me to travel abroad.
I hope to take a trip to a number of different countries, but I'm not sure if I can do it just yet, though.

Good job! I easily understood what you wanted to tell me as the reader. While there were no major grammatical mistakes, I rewrote / reworded a few of your sentences to make them sound more natural. You are doing fine and I look forward to reading more of your posts. I hope this helps you. J.
