Personal Opinions about Courtesy
When I was a kid, my parents corrected me that I should greet my teacher with " Hi Ms /Mrs XX "instead of just saying " hi teacher" with no referring to their family names, which are less polite.
After I became a teacher myself, however, I found not many students follow the rule. My students give me calls once a while for absence. On the phone, some of them just ask away " where are you? I want you to sign on my request letter "or in a better way by adding " Hello teacher".
There were many times that I had the urge to correct and tell them that I have a name and it's not called TEACHER. On the other hand,I feel it shouldn't be something taught at university. It's common courtesy everybody can learn from their surroundings. I suppose that's a weird situation I have with my students.

Now, I have got an answer from you guys. I think I should probably put that in a causal or joking way.

Thanks guys, you all have given me good suggestions. I guess I should say that to my students and let them know where they need to improve. The thing is how to put that would be acceptable to them since they are all adults with high self-esteem.

I am currently reading a book called 'How People Learn.' Apparently research shows that playing video games can help people learn, Shakil. Tests run by educational psychologists have shown that people are able to retain information better if they 'space out,' their learning and that certain kinds of activity - such as playing video games - are especially good if used as breaks in between study periods.

I totally agree with your opinion . It's so frustrating and annoying to lose that common courtesy among people . You can correct them in the class or even give extracurricular class for telling them why should courtesy be taught and learned by everyone if not from parents at home so why not to be at school or university .
