The life cycle of salmon Question: The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison there relevant. The process diagrams illustrate the life cycle of salmons which are large fishes. There are three main stage of salmons' life cycle. At the first stage, there are just salmon eggs lying around small stones under reeds in upper river where water moves slowly. After five to six months, they become fries. At the second stage, fries live in lower river which flow fast for four years, the fries become smolts. Then smolts swim to open sea living there for five years and then they grow up to be adult salmons. However, they have to go back to upper river to lay eggs to keep the life cycle continue. There are three shapes of salmons' life process. Salmons are called fry when they are only three to eight centimeters.Then they grow up to smolts which are twelve to fifteen centimeters. At the last, they become bigger as adult salmons which are seventy to seventy-six centimeters. In summary, salmons linve in three different environments with three different sizes of their body. They spend their whole life from upper river to open sea to sustain their life cycle.
