How a diary can make your day diverse and interesting?
Hello friends.
I started to learn English more seriously about a few months ago. My friend, who is an English teacher, advised me to start writing a diary. It had to become very useful for my lexis practice. I work as a teacher of Polish and Russian sometimes and I apply a similar method to my learners. I suggest them to write short stories on different topics. It’s very effective stuff, because when you repeat one word two, five, ten, twenty times you will definitely keep it in your mind. But there always was someone who could check the works. I thought that for me it wouldn’t be much more effective if no one checks my mistakes. But I was wrong.
I've found out that it works anyway. There is no matter if somebody checks it or not. The progress of your word supply doesn’t depend on your mistakes. Because if you know surely what you want to say, there won’t be a big problem to correct how it supposed to be told. Correct your mistake just once and you will never make it anymore. That’s the way you can move on to a new level much more quickly.
Okay, but there was an another issue. The first thing I had thought about when I decided to write my diary was that my days usually didn’t differ between each other. Maybe it could make a sense if I noted the same stuff day by day for being able to describe my usual actions, behavior and habits. But I didn’t want to do that. I’m quite creative person, so I wanted my notes to be diverse like chapters in a book. And several days later I actually founded a solution in my diary.
I understood, if I want my little book to look interesting, not as a routine, I should dream up some interesting stuff to do. When I have some fascinating engagement, then I have something unordinary I can note on the pages. The Learner’s Movie Hall that I’ve dreamt up diversified my activity and added even more topics I can tell about. That’s what I’m talking about and I’m encouraging you to do the same :1
Thanks to that my weeks have assumed much more interesting figure and now I always have something to talk about, except for cases when I don’t have a mood.
It definitely makes sense, especially if you have a purpose you would like to achieve so much, that you’ve been interested to exercise English every single day :)

How a diary can make your day diverse and interesting?
Hello friends,I started to learn English more seriously (intensively) a few months ago. My friend, who is an English teacher, advised me to start writing a diary. It has become very useful for my lexis practice. I sometimes work as a teacher of Polish and Russian and I apply a similar method with my learners. I suggest to them to write short stories on different topics. It’s very effective (stuff), because when you repeat a word, whether once, twice, five, ten, or twenty times, you are definitely more likely to remember it. But there has always been someone who could (to) check my works. I had thought that if no one checks my mistakes, it wouldn’t be much more as effective. But I was wrong.
I've found out (discovered/realised) that it is of benefit anyway. It doesn't matter if someone checks it or not. The development of your vocabulary doesn’t depend on the correction of your mistakes. Because if you know surely what you want to say, there won’t be an issue correcting how it supposed to be said. Correct your mistake just once and you will never make it again. In this way, you can move on to the next level much (progress) more quickly (far quicker).
However, I realised there was an another issue to consider. The first thing I had thought about when I decided to write my diary was that my days usually didn’t differ from one day to the next. Maybe it could make a sense if I noted (to note) the same stuff day by day, as then I would be able to describe my usual actions, behavior and habits. But I didn’t want to do that. I’m quite a creative person, so I wanted my notes to be diverse like the chapters of a book. And several days later, I actually founded a solution in (when writing) my diary.
I understood, if I want my little book to seem interesting, not simply my routine, I should dream up some interesting things to do. When I have (By imagining) a fascinating engagement (experience/encounter), I then have something extraordinary I can note on my pages. The 'Learner’s Movie Hall' that I’ve dreamt up (has) diversified my writing, adding even more topics about which I can put pen to paper. This is what I choose to write about and I’m encouraging you to do the same (in future) :)
Thanks to this, my weeks have become far more interesting and now I always have something to write about, with the exception of times when I don’t have a mood for it (I'm not in the mood).
Using your imagination definitely makes sense, especially if you have an objective you'd really like to achieve, particularly if you’ve been willing and motivated enough to write in English every single day :)
- Well-written!
