Percy Jackson and the lighting thieft review Being a bit of a book worm myself, the choice of a single book proposal for the club was hard, but i finally decided for "Percy Jackson and the lightning thief". Because this page-turner is just the perfect, since is not hard to read and also i could interest to everybody, regardless of their age. The book is set in the present time where a child with AHDH and dyslexia discovers he is the son of a greek god, so he is a "demigod". But also he needs to find Zeus' lightning, that was stolen, to bring peace to the world. However, the path will not be easy, since is full of enemies based on the greek mythology, but also betrayals in their own group. Not only the characters are multidimentional and have their own problems that diferentate them, but also their are realistic and represent conditions that people have but are shy to admit or don't know is tratable. Therefore is very important that everyone reads this book, since perhaps they can tell someone that was "weird" just had AHDH or dyslexia. The lightning thieft is by far and away the best book possible to start a club, and if we sum the fact that it was awarded and one of the best books released that year, you just have a match made in heaven.
