Overall, all categories experienced an upward trend in value, except for clothing and manufacturing. Additionally, exported metals saw a dramatic increase in value. Looking at the figures in more detail, the overall income of exported products rose by 20%, from 32 in 2009 to nearly 38,5 HK billion dollars in 2010. The figure for equipment earnings was 10,3 billion , followed by the telecommunity, accounting for nearly 8 billion. Over the following year, a turnover of the latter grew by 61% to 12,7 billion and overtook that of the former by 1,1 billion to become the major income. Next comes the metals, a striking increase of 122% can be seen in the figure for metals’ sales. Turning to other categories, the manufacturing industry saw the most significant drop of 27% in its exported value, from 5,5 billion in 2009 to 4 billion in 2010.
