Maybe because of this rule, 'we can't use continuous tense with stative verbs', we'd feel like it's not right when we see someone using "agreeing", as in present continuous:
'If you simply mean "I agree", then to say "I am agreeing" sounds like incorrect English as sometimes used by non-native speakers.'
But "agreeing" is used in such sense in our discussion - trying to make it a more friendly one:
'However, you will sometime hear people say "I'm agreeing with you here": this is used in a continuous sense as part of an ongoing discussion; the speaker wishes to make it clear that what he has said and is saying is not intended as argument.'
'The present continuous is used when the act of agreeing is/was underway, being emphasized, or being used to indicate a current realization.'
But hey, perhaps that's all nonsense since the "stative verbs" rule is loud and clear. And it's ok to believe that anything outside the rule is of course grammatically wrong, which could be a huge issue between Descriptive & Prescriptive Grammar btw.
But that doesn't stop people like speakers or writers or professional editors using it this way. And if me using it was following my Chinese logic, feel free to point out any "Chinese logic" here:
