Hi everyone, I'm Michelle! I'm an English and German teacher here on italki, specialising in conversational English for adults who plan to move to Australia, and German grammar lessons for English speakers. I have an extensive background in education, because I taught mathematics in Australia for over 25 years, but I shifted my focus to language teaching a few years ago after completing a university degree in linguistics. I absolutely love both teaching and learning languages (I'm currently learning French, Japanese, Italian, and Portuguese), because I enjoy having interesting discussions with people from around the globe and encountering new perspectives and ideas. I believe that a knowledge of languages promotes personal development and encourages intercultural understanding. I hope to meet you in one of my lessons soon!
