When you use haber + participio pasado instead of preterito perfecto simple? Like: he terminado/terminè

Use Haber + participle to talk about an action that happened in the past and it’s finished but the time in which the action has happened it’s not finished yet. This use is only Spanish Spain. Ex. Esta mañana he ido al mercado Este año ha llovido mucho In Latin America we use the pretérito indefinido Esta mañana fui al mercado Another use Ella ha trabajado en una fábrica Ha viajado mucho y ha vivido en muchos países. In these examples use haber + participle to talk about experiences, what you have done up to now. You don’t focus on when you did the action but what you did. But if you want to say when you did it then Use the indefinite. Example. El año pasado trabajé en una fábrica. Ella viajó por muchos países en 2010 Hope it helps
