Dear Sister,
I saw you are hiring volunteers and I'm interested in becoming a
volunteer to share in the community's daily life. Are you still accepting
volunteers for this summer? I'm working for a school, so I'm flexible with the
time, anytime between June to August works for me. I volunteered for a monastery
(xx Abbey) with my mother before, but she is over 55 now.
I chose to work for a
501(c)(3) charitable organization after graduating because I considered
spiritual life a priority. The co-founders consider the organization as an
"apostolic hobby". I am passionate about volunteering and am currently teaching
English to a beginner for a church-based community center. I have a lot of time
available during my school holidays, so I am eager to take on this work!
Thank
you for taking the time to consider my application, and please let me know if
you need more information. I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
X

Subject: Volunteer Inquiry
Dear Sister,
I saw that you are hiring volunteers, and I’m interested in becoming one to share in the community’s daily life. Are you still accepting volunteers for this summer?
I work for a school, so I have a flexible schedule and can volunteer anytime between June and August. Previously, I volunteered at [XX Abbey] with my mother, though she is now over 55. After graduating, I chose to work for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization because I consider spiritual life a priority. The co-founders describe the organization as an “apostolic hobby.”
I am passionate about volunteering and currently teach English to a beginner at a church-based community center. With ample free time during my school holidays, I am eager to dedicate myself to this work.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. Please let me know if you need any further information. I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,

1. “I saw you are hiring volunteers” → “I saw that you are hiring volunteers” (More natural structure)
2. “I’m interested in becoming a volunteer to share in the community’s daily life.” → “I’m interested in becoming one to share in the community’s daily life.” (Avoids repeating “volunteer”)
3. “I work for a school, so I’m flexible with the time, anytime between June to August works for me.” → “I work for a school, so I have a flexible schedule and can volunteer anytime between June and August.” (Smoother phrasing)
4. “I chose to work for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization after graduating because I considered spiritual life a priority.” → “After graduating, I chose to work for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization because I consider spiritual life a priority.” (Improved clarity and flow)
5. “I have a lot of time available during my school holidays” → “With ample free time during my school holidays” (More natural phrasing)
