Hi Is there any difference among "coast", "shore" and "beach" without considering technical and scientific approach?

Hello, Hussain! Yes, there is a slight difference. "Shore" is a more general word for land along the edge of the sea, lake, or wide river, e.g., He swam towards the shore. "Beach" is the area along the edge of sea, lake, or wide river that is covered with sand or small stones, e.g., He walked along the beach. "Coast" is the border between the land and the sea, or part of a country that is next to the sea, e.g., We stayed in a small estate on the west coast of South Africa.

You can say "I live by the beach/coast" but the shore is specifically the line of water along the coast line, so you wouldn't use it in the same instance

Hi A little, yeah. I drove along the coast of Australia - I could see the shore from the highway. In the afternoon, I stopped at a beach.
