How do you express 'move on' in relation to moving on after a relationship in Chinese? How do you express 'move on' in relation to moving on after a relationship in Chinese? Maybe it has something to do with 前进? For example, how would you say these two sentences in Chinese? He's never coming back to you, you really need to move on. I never wanted to stop you moving on. Thank you in advance!

He's never coming back to you, you really need to move on. 他不会再回到你身边了,你真的该放手了。 I never wanted to stop you moving on. 我从没想过要阻挠你开始新生活。 For your reference. The second sentence is not so good, maybe someone else can give you a better one.

I don't think they talk like that. Chinese women throw the kitchen sink at you and scream all sorts of expletives.

I found this: 想开 = to get over (a shock, bereavement etc) / to avoid dwelling on unpleasant things / to accept the situation and move on Check out this dictionary: http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php

well, "move on" means find a new relationship, the literal meaning I think should be "向前看“. we usually comfort a girl like this "他不值得拥有你” ”比他好的男人多的是“ ”你会找到更好的“, and comfort a boy like this"天涯何处无芳草" ”女人多的是“ The sentences should be translate like this: 他不会回到你身边了,你能找到更好的 我不会耽误你,你会找到更好的(男人 or 女儿)
