Would you explain about the meaning of "marketing" in Spanish?

The Spanish word for "marketing" is "mercadotecnia".
However, many Spanish-speaking countries adopt the English word "Marketing", so "marketing" is also a Spanish word by adoption, and means the same as in English.
The word "mercadeo" (mercadear) means "trading" or "merchandizing", which is very different from "marketing".

Marketing se traduce como "mercadeo" pero es un anglicismo muy utilizado como parte de textos que por lo demás están en español. la palabra "mercado" por otro lado, tiene su equivalente ingles en "market".
