What's the difference between 같아 and 같에? I find myself in conversation using the latter more than the former, but if asked, I cannot describe the difference. 그게 좋은것 같아요 그게 좋은것 같에요 I hear the latter being used more in conversation. Is the difference just colloquial vs. formal, or is it more involved than that?

No, not at all.^^/ "같아요" is the standard. "같에요" or "같애요" seems to be a dialect.^^/ \^o^/

After studying Greek morphology, I think the difference has to do with the case endings signifying a preposition with 같아요 signifying agreement with the vowel 'a' to someone else and 같에요 with the vowel 'e' signifying agreement to oneself. I'll have to think about it each time until I know for sure if the context has been provided.
