Does anyone have any tips on how to memorize hiragana characters?
There are so many and I feel it will take me forever to actually start recognizing any of them. Thanks :)

Practice, practice, practice. If possible, read real Japanese texts, don't just learn the letters by themselves. For the first months, I took some texts and rewrote the hiragana in romaji, looking up those I couldn't remember on the spot. I also felt like I'd never be able to read hiragana fluently, but it really does get better with practice. Just be patient.
Real text has the advantage that you learn to recognize frequent combinations like して or します. Just like you'd recognize whole words when reading English.

yes ! change your keyboard to japanese in your setting and then take some words in japanese romaji then write em in kanji on word pad at the end of the day try to read what you wrote in kanji the day after read yourself again with a new exercise soon enough you're going to switch to katakana and be patient the key isn't it try to memorize em but to recognize em while reading em over time you'll know them all

oh my dear hiragana anda katakana :).... I learned alot, till I knew them all.
First of all I would practice on writing them one by one, hundred of times.. then I got some hiragana text and rewrote it in romaji, and then I checked my mistakes.
