The term "vice versa" comes from Latin and means "conversely" or two things or people are reversed. For example, Russia is the largest country and Canada is second, or vice versa.

It's not actually an English phrase, it's Latin. It essentially means "the other way around." A basic example could be:
"We'll go to the supermarket and then to the cinema, or vice versa."
This would imply that you intend to go to the supermarket first then the cinema second. However, by adding "or vice versa" you're also saying that you are happy to do it the other way around too. i.e. Go to the cinema first, and the supermarket second.
It's not the best example, it's late and I'm tired. Maybe someone else has a better example.

"You can't put a square peg in a round hole, and you can't put a round peg in a square hole."
"You can't put a square peg in a round hole or vice versa."
vice versa means "the other way round"
