My English Learning Experience:
English is an international language that enables people to talk with others throughout the world. Learning English helps prepare us to compete in the global market. When we are competent in English, the job opportunities are wide open. Not only can you be an English teacher, lecturer, translator, guide, or work in a factory, but you can also embark on your own endeavor.
English is a foreign language in our country, which means that it is not a native language. It is taught as a school subject. I studied English first when I was in junior high school, where I learned just a little of it. I was very poor at it when compared with my classmates who studied it before when they were in elementary school. When my English teacher explained the material, I just kept silent in my chair and listened to what my teacher said. I did not understand well. Because I was interested in it, I then promised myself to do more to improve my English skills. By the second course, I had improved a little more. After I graduated from junior high school, I decided that I wanted to become a guide, travel around the world, and go abroad.
But in senior high school, I dreamed of becoming an English teacher and teach poor and struggling children. My senior high school teacher was very cool. I enjoyed learning from her. She didn't force us to know a lot of the language, but she said that we must love English. She told us about how she learned English. She labeled all of the things in her room so it was easy to remember what they were called. I also followed her ways. In addition, I put the difficult words on my wall and asked my friend when I didn't know something.
That is my experience learning English.
