Hi, EVERY sentence MUST have a "subject" & a "predicate." Example: Americans donated millions to charities. "Americans"=subject, "donated"=verb. The verb in this case is the predicate since the subject is a pronoun. I know this is a short answer but it's the basis from which you should start in order to understand sentence structure.
