Ella es 10 años mayor que yo. 'mas grande ' is not very correct, I think.

In many Countries of Latin America is correct to say 'mas Grande' , when referring to age...see ya!

- Ella tiene 10 años más que yo.
- La edad de ella, es 10 años más que yo.

NO se dice "Ella es diez años MAS GRANDE" que yo". "Grande" se refire a tamaño (generalmente de cosas), no a la edad de las personas.
